What is Northeast Medical Group?

The Northeast Medical Group (NEMG) is a system-wide physician group designed to create opportunities for better collaboration, quality of care and physician alignment. It includes a number of physicians throughout the system, including hospital-employed physicians at Greenwich Hospital; members of the Mill Hill Medical Group based at Bridgeport Hospital; the hospitalists of Yale-New Haven Hospital; and community physicians in Fairfield and in Westchester County, NY.

NEMG, a nonprofit medical foundation, was created as a result of legislation passed last year by the Connecticut General Assembly. It will create cost efficiencies through economies of scale, clinical information systems and unified back room functions, such as billing and practice management. It is located at 226 Mill Hill Ave. in Bridgeport.
